This is a request to all the parents .Grandparents .uncles aunts and all the relatives .Please let the child be a child .Please treat the child as a person and not as an exhibit who has to parrot rhymes and alphabets to all the visitors just to pander your ego .As it is as soon as the child starts school he or she has to fit into a mould .So the formative years are very crucial .let him develop his observation ,imagination and creativity.The child should have the freedom to enjoy its childhood .How would we like if we are asked to sing and dance for the strangers ?He should be treated as an intelligent sensitive individual and not looked upon as a comic relief .It is important for a child,s healthy growth and his self confidence later in life if he is interacted to as an intelligent person .The thumb rule here is to interact with him as you would like him to interact with you .Take pleasure in himand let him develop on his own .You are there to guide him but please don,t try to mould him as Khalil Gibran aptly said "He is from you but he is not you "Even as a child respect his individuality and let him make the choices .
