Joy's MusingsWe protest against so many things. We protest because a cartoonist showed Prophet as a terrorist .We protest coz Bharat Mata is painted without clothes by M.F.Hussain. I wonder if we will protest now that all the accused in Jessica Lal murder case are acquitted because of lack of evidence , a cold blooded murder which took place in front of a number of people .Most probably not because somehow this does not concern us while we are incensed about the insult being meted to Gods and Prophets .Isn’t it ironical that we worry about the supreme powers who are much much above insults and defamations and do not spare a thought about ordinary mortals. If our legal system is helpless as the witnesses can be bought and evidence destroyed will it not give birth to a parallel seat of justice where God father type of figures will emerge and people will flock to them?
By the way now Salman Khan has my full sympathies as he has to undergo a year’s imprisonment for killing a black buck while murderers of a girl go scot free .
