I am an ardent fan of Bill Gates and his wife .He has created an empire and is also the richest man on the earth .what impresses me the most is his philanthrophy .As an Indian I am very much touched by his concern about our kids ,their health and their education .The ease withwhich he shares the platform with Industry leaders and politicians can also be seen in the way he is sitting with commercial workers in Chennai .There is also a new talent hunt for Indian school kids which Gates is sponsering .I wish our Indian Industrialists will also follow his example.I wonder what makes Bill as he is ?Is it his innate goodness or his upbringing or both?He has also been lucky in finding alife partner who thinks and feels alike .This brings me to the eternal riddle I am trying to fathom .what influences a child ?Is it the environment .upbringing or genes that determine an individual,s character ?Any answers ?

It is a really complicated puzzle. If it is the upbringing, then how do children of same parents show very diregent tendencies. I suppose primarily it is the inherently aquired qualities (which may be called 'genes')that determine a person's character which is some what modified by the environment (upbringing etc).
